Adele covers British Vogue October 2011

One of the biggest music stars of the last year and an original London gal, Adele has landed her first ever Vogue cover for the October 2011 issue. In a custom made lace dress by Burberry, which makes a change from her usual choice of black, the 22-year-old songstress smoulders with make-up by Tom Ford Colour Cosmetics and big hair courtesy of Label M.

Inside the issue Adele stars in a photo-series of glamorous, retro feel pictures, echoing her musical style, as well as talking about why she won’t be signing up as the face of a fashion label any time soon.

Adele is a fitting start for the issue, which focuses on ‘The English Woman Now’, exploring British style icons such as Kate Moss and Vivienne Westwood. The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs also stars in a spread (we never thought we’d see the day!) discussing why the world is now obsessed with Essex.

Catch the October issue, out next month.
