Victoria & Albert Museum unveil The Clothworkers’ Centre

Its no secret that London’s Victoria and Albert Museum boasts one of the world’s finest collections of fashion and textiles, and this today a new home for its collection is to be unveiled at Blythe House, Olympia in the west of the capital.

Called the Clothworkers’ Centre and designed to be “relaxed and peaceful”, it is sure to be a haven for fashion and textile students in the city, with a small study room for groups of up to three, and a larger seminar room for groups of 18. These “spacious, bright and well-equipped” rooms will be available to those who book appointments in advance.

As well as fascilitating learning, the centre will also play an enormously important role in conserving and preserving the collection.
