Valentino and Yoox Net-a-Porter Group to launch new omnichannel model

Yoox Net-A-Porter has joined forces with Italian fashion house Valentino to create a new online luxury shopping experience named Next Era for Valentino customers.

Next Era will incorporate the advantages of both business models, using the physical inventory at Valentino boutiques and Yoox Net-A-Porter’s eight global distribution centres to create “the biggest Valentino store in the world”.

Valentino customers will benefit from an extended selection of products, in-store mobile features to speed up checkout and see information and availability of online inventory, and faster delivery worldwide.

The website will be totally revamped in anticipation for the launch of the new shopping portal, which is being developed in partnership with IBM. New features will include a mobile-centric user interface, new design, on-site personalisation and contextual search powered by artificial intelligence.

The complete Valentino inventory will also be integrated into the Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter inventory, giving visitors to these sites access to the complete Valentino collection with enhanced express delivery options.

Next Era is planned for launch in early 2018 and similar partnerships with other brands and Yoox Net-A-Porter are expected to follow.
