Tom Ford, fashion’s most secretive designer, is set  to open his first standalone UK store in London’s Knightsbridge.

According to the Sunday Times, Ford’s first store will take over the 8,000 square foot unit at 201-206 Sloane Street, playing neighbour to Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. Pricey rent for the new store will allegedly cost £1.3m a year over a 10 year contract, which will be paid to landlord, the Cadogan Estate.

Currently, Ford has concessions in London’s Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, and an opening date for his new store is yet unconfirmed.
