Chief creative officer of Jimmy Choo Tamara Mellon has announced that she will be stepping down from her role at the luxury footwear brand, which she co-founded 15 years ago. Following the brand’s takeover by luxury goods company Labelux five months ago both Tamara and chief executive Joshua Schulman have announced their departures.

After starting the infamous label with Malaysian born shoe cobbler from Hackney, Jimmy Choo, Mellon has helped take the company to multi-million pound success, with celebrity followers including Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyoncé and Eva Mendez.
