London’s Serpentine Sackler Gallery is hosting its first fashion-focused exhibition – “Passer-by”. The exhibition traces the history of window displays and how mannequins are used to create displays that are part advertising and part art.

Contemporary artists Tauba Auerbach, Bernie Reid and Elizabeth Radcliffe are among those featured in the exhibition, each of whom have designed manequins to present new garments by the Atelier E.B fashion label.

The label was founded in 2007 by designer Beca Lipscombe and artist Lucy McKenzie, who are also curating the exhibition. A bespoke showroom inside the gallery will sell the brand’s latest designs.

The installation will be available to view at Serpentine Galleries until 6 January 2019, after which it will travel to Paris.
