Rebel Threads book showcases counterculture vintage clothing

Rebel Threads, a new book to be published next month illustrates over 1300 examples of vintage clothing from various subcultures of the 1940s to 1980s.

The book includes detailed photographs and stories of the clothes’ origins, alongside unseen fashion and film stills.

Any lover of vintage fashion and the history of street style will find the book fascinating and it will be a valuable resource for fashion students, designers, and costumiers.

Rebel Threads was curated and written by Roger K. Burton, founder of the Contemporary Wardrobe Collection providing street fashion for film and television. The former mod has over 50 years experience in collecting vintage fashion and has worked on films including Quadrophenia, Chariots of Fire, and Hackers, as well as dressing stars including David Bowie and the Rolling Stones.
