Gucci’s Cruise 17 collection, a “poem to London” and celebration of British culture, is now available to shop on the brand’s website.
Debuted in a show at the Westminster Abbey cloisters this summer, the collection is influenced by British royalty and punk, and includes Union Jack horsebit loafers, King Charles Spaniels embroidered onto bags and flowers typical of English gardens.
“I love the English aesthetic,” explained Alessandro Michele, “The way they have of mixing things together that have nothing to do with one another. This inspires me a lot and corresponds to my vision of fashion.”
Shot by photographer Glen Luchford, the accompanying campaign stars Vanessa Redgrave and is set in the grounds of Chatsworth House, historic seat of the Devonshire family.
