Ralph Lauren has unveiled his latest designs for the Wimbledon Championship umpires – including optimistic pairs of sunglasses.
The new attire will debut when Wimbledon fortnight commences on June 27th, which also marks the event’s 130th anniversary. The most significant changes include pinstripes on the blazers and green and purple bands on the V-neck jumpers. The shades, which feature the brand’s Pony logo, will be worn by line and chair umpires.
“Ralph Lauren Corporation is honoured to continue its part in the rich sporting tradition at Wimbledon on its 130th anniversary,” said a spokesperson for Ralph Lauren.
“These stylish designs perfectly match the timelessness and elegance of The Championships,” added David Hewitt, Head of Retail at the All England Club, “and continue to define the classic Wimbledon look.”
