Marks & Spencer, bastion of the British high street, has returned to France after a ten-year absence, by opening a flagship store on The Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris.

The new store was opened yesterday, with appearances from M&S chief executive officer Marc Bolland and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the face of the store’s Autograph brand. The new store occupies a 15,000-square-foot unit at number 100, offering womenswear, lingerie and food across three floors.
