London Olympics 2012: The Best and Worst Olympic Kits

News | | 3 Comments

With the London 2012 Olympics just one day away, all eyes are on the capital to see which teams from around the world will be winning and but more importantly what they’ll be wearing.

We’ve gathered all the Olympic 2012 kits from around the world, designed specifically for the games, to see who’s dressed for success and who needs to try a little harder.

MISS: Team Switzerland’s kit is basic at best and could do with a splash of colour beyond red, white and grey.

HIT: Team Netherlands have got the preppy sport look down to a tee (we’re loving the dapper looking fellow on the far left).

HIT: Team Jamaica x Puma have kept their sportswear simple yet effective with their home colours.

MISS: Team Japan’s uniform may be smart, but it wouldn’t look out of place on board a Virgin Airlines flight.

HIT: O Canada! We’re fans of your jacket choice. Mainly because it’ll be perfect for the unpredictable British weather.

MISS: Team Italy may have Giorgio Armani to thank for their kit, but head-to-toe white is a friend to no-one.

HIT: Team Denmark’s uniforms couldn’t be any chicer – smart, simple and stylish.

HIT: Team Australia’s effort is seriously impressive. We love the quintessentially British look, perfect for the London 2012 Games.

MISS: Team Germany have gone for gender appropriate blue and pink puffer jackets – hello 1996.

MISS: Team Finland’s kit may be perfectly practical, but it’s a little uninspiring to say the least – three quarter lengths?!

MISS: For some reason, Team China’s uniforms make us want to take a trip to Butlins..

HIT: Team Brazil, as expected, have gone for their signature colours, and enlisted Nike to design a Olympic-worthy kit.

MISS: Team Spain have also gone for their national colours, but added graphic swirls and an unflattering gypsy skirt

MISS: Jazzy is just one word that could be used to describe Team Russia’s graffiti inspired kit.

MISS: Team Ukraine – we have no words…

HIT: Team USA have channelled that classic all-American preppy perfectly for their Ralph Lauren designed kit.

HIT: Of course we love Team GB’s Stella McCartney designed kit. Team GB for the win!
