Pay later company Klarna has announced it will be opening its first UK immersive pop-up in Covent Garden.
Klarna hopes to demonstrate to high street retailers how building a ‘play area’ for shoppers can make it more appealing to shop in brick-and-mortar outlets instead of online. It also wants to create more opportunities for online brands to build better engagement with their customers.
The pop-up will launch with a VIP event and will open to the public on 5th June with a week of fashion and lifestyle events including free beauty treatments, styling by industry experts, and ticketed events. Tickets will be available free of charge in the week prior to the event.
The two-storey pop-up will feature brands such as ASOS, Beauty Bay, Cambridge Satchel Company, Finery, Schuh and Swoon, with products including fashion, beauty, sports, interiors and technology. Many brands and products available at the Klarna pop-up were previously only available online.
