Kate Middleton has been recognised for her collection of fabulous hats by scooping the ‘Hat Person of the Year’ award from The Headwear Association.

The Duchess of Cambridge received a monstrous 90 per cent of the vote for her 2011 hat selection, rivalled by Rachel Zoe, Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo, Bruno Mars and Charlie Sheen (?!), who made up the other ten per cent. Previous winners include Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt.

Kate was commended by The Headwear Association for the velvet cabernet hat by Rose Cory she wore this Christmas (below), and the maple leaf headpiece by London milliner Sylvia Fletcher of Lock & Co. she wore during her visit to Canada (above). Way to go Kate!
