Filipino designer Renee Salud showcases local tapestries in London

With over 200,000 Filipinos living in the UK, the local community is huge and adds to the multicultural feel of London. A world renowned designer, Renee Salud, brought a unique artistic presentation to Westfield dubbed “Philippine Tapestry” showcasing the exquisite fabrics and indigenous weaves as interpreted by the designer himself.

This event was an initiative by the Department of Tourism of Philippines to promote the country, but also to show the amazing talents and history behind every dress. The dresses were inspired by regions of Mindanao, Davao and Cebu.

The show was attended by Made in Chelsea’s Mimi Bouchard and singer Koto
