Emma Watson has been a sporadic user of her personal Instagram account for the last year or two, but the star has recently launched a new account, The Press Tour (@the_press_tour) showcasing sustainable fashion looks.
The account, opened earlier this week, features outfits made from organic, vegan, and recycled materials worn by Watson for the press tour of her upcoming movie, Beauty and the Beast.
Some of the looks so far have included a Louis Vuitton dress made from recycled plastic bottles, Burberry shoes made from organic silk, a Stella McCartney coat made from recycled fabrics and organic cotton, and several items from smaller independent brands.
Even the makeup looks are created with vegan, organic, and cruelty free makeup from brands including The Body Shop, ILIA Beauty, and Inika Organic.
The account will allow Watson’s fans to follow her in attending events in the run-up to the release of Beauty and the Beast, and to engage more easily with eco-friendly fashion.
Rather than simply finished and posed outfit photoshoots, many of the snaps make use of Instagram’s new gallery feature and include several behind the scenes images of fashion sketches and fabric swatches that went into creating the finished look, alongside candid shots of Watson wearing the outfits.
The Beauty and the Beast press tour has just finished the Paris leg and arrived in London yesterday. The red carpet premiere of the movie will take place in central London tonight, 23rd February and will be publicly released in cinemas from 17th March 2017.
