Swedish menswear brand A Day’s March was founded in 2014 by creative trio Marcus Gårdö, Pelle Lundquist and Stefan Pagréus.
The brand focus is on high-quality wardrobe staples at an affordable price range. Eschewing the modern trend for “fast fashion”, the brand aims to perfect the essentials and create durable investment pieces that will stand the test of time both in terms of quality and design.
The name of the label is an old military term referring to the distance that an army could march in a day and the military theme drives the idea behind the brand of creating strong, masculine clothing to help you through the ups and downs of everyday life.
A Day’s March is a producer to consumer company, meaning its products are sold exclusively from its own stores and website. Avoiding the wholesale model means that the clothing is kept as affordable as possible for consumers, as there’s no mark-up added by the stores.
The company also uses fair and sustainable production techniques, working with licensed producers in Europe. Many of the garments are made from certified organic cotton, including their signature white t-shirt.
A Day’s March style is inspired by American and Italian menswear, music and film, military uniforms, and sportswear. Many of the garments are re-imagined from favourite vintage clothing selected from the wardrobes of the founders.
The signature white t-shirt in organic cotton from A Day’s March is priced at £25. Dress and casual shirts are priced at £60, and jeans start at £80.
The brand has plans to launch their first UK store in London this year and already has four successful stores in Sweden.
