Model David Gandy has embarked on a fashionable new business venture, acquiring men’s footwear label David Preston.
The 34-year-old, who is already an ambassador for the Bethnal Green-based brand, is said to have made the move when he found himself enamoured with the label’s signature Chelsea boots.
Speaking to WWD, Gandy said: ‘It was always my aim — which sounds really strange as a model — not to always be in front of the camera but to turn the other way and have an input.”
“I don’t just do one campaign and move on. I go in there, I look at the team and I want to help the brand move in a different direction.”
David Gandy and David Preston launched their first joint collection at London Collections: Men earlier this week, with prices in the 15-piece line ranging from £350 to £520.
