Shoe brand Converse is set to open its first UK retail location at the London Designer Outlet at Wembley Park.

The Nike-owned brand is best known for its All Star sneakers and will join other shoe brands including Dr Martens and Vans at the outlet. There is also currently a Nike outlet at the location.

Realm’s leasing director for LDO, Christine Grace, said: “Converse and Vans are great additions to the range of top brands LDO offers and we’re proud to be the centre of choice for Converse’s first-ever store in the UK. Furthermore, the move from temp-to-perm by Dr. Martens shows the confidence top brands have, not only with this location but also with an urban outlet option as part of their go-to-market mix.”

The London Designer Outlet attracts 5.8m shoppers a year and stocks fashion, sport, and lifestyle brands including Superdry, Jack Wills, H&M, Gap, Guess, Lee Wrangler, Kurt Geiger, Adidas, The North Face, Asics, Skechers, and New Balance. It is a popular shopping location with tourists and tax-free sales rose by 36.8% year-on-year for the first five months of 2017.
