American retailer Abercrombie & Fitch will no longer recruit its staff based on physical attractiveness, according to a statement.

The clothing brand will replace the ‘Model with Brand Representative’ job title it uses for sales staff across its stores, as well a stopping the use of sexualised images in its marketing campaigns by the end of July.

According to Drapers, the changes are a part of a joint strategy from company president Christos Angelides, who joined the business back in October, and Hollister brand head Fran Horowitz, in an effort to revamp the struggling brand.
