We caught up with Sophie for the latest in our ‘My London’ series.

Favourite neighbourhood:

You can normally find me cruising between Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Mayfair. However, I just moved to Holland Park and I’m LOVING it. It’s the perfect mix of London for me. Busy High Street Kensington, beautiful parks, stunning Georgian and Victorian villas.

Favourite place for brunch:

I love the Blake’s hotel on a Sunday, because you can totally pig out on hangover or go super healthy with cauliflower pizza and zoodles with pesto. They also have the coolest crowd in London, so great for people watching.

Best coffee in London:

I personally don’t like coffee, unless it’s in ice cream form :). I’m a passionate tea drinker and can’t get up without a Mariage Frère English Breakfast with milk in the morning. My latest obsession however, especially during the recent heat wave is the iced almond milk latte by Juice Baby on King’s Road. They mix in pink Himalayan salt and dates which make it sweeter and delicious.

Favourite gallery or museum:

I’m lucky enough to live next to the Design Museum, which is currently exhibiting the Azzendine Alaïa archives, which are just breathtaking! My family has always had a great interest in art, my mother has a PHD in art history, who takes me every year to the Frieze Art Fair and my favourite part the PAD on Berkeley Square. Otherwise I adore the V&A, Tate modern, die Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, Gallerie von Vertes in Zurich, the Prado in Madrid and of course le Lourve.

Tell us a secret:

Michael Jackson was and still my favourite artist of all time. As a teenager, I might have become a little too obsessed and was caught by my sister and several friends of hers making out with my life sized poster of his. Needless to say, she still makes fun of me 17 years later!

Favourite place to shop:

One of my favourite hunting grounds in SW3 is Boutique1 on Sloane Street, they’ve got an amazing curation of designer brands you wouldn’t normally find in Europe, plus they have the cutest little cafe in the their backyard where you can reward yourself with some well deserved carbs after an exhausting session.

Favourite place to find inspiration:

I’m obsessed with strong and beautiful women throughout history. I could literally binge an entire weekend on documentaries of old Hollywood sirens, Pharaoes of Ancient Egypt and my favourite of all… Versailles. I also love raiding my mothers wardrobe archives from the past 4 decades, which she carefully preserved for my sister Charlotte and I.

Best London destination for a date:

I’m all for wining a dining, so I guess I am pretty much old school in that department. My favourite restaurants are Poulet Pot, Zuma and Cecconis.

Favourite park:

I love Holland Park a lot but nothing beats a spring stroll next to the Serpentine watching baby swans and ducklings in Hyde Park.

Favourite food market:

I have to confess I mainly shop at Wholefoods, but I do love a long trip to the Japan centre in Soho – nothing beats their Toro! My favourite one in Stuttgart is the Markthalle, it’s so multicultural and truly stunning.

Your sanctuary in the city:

This would have to be the Spa at the Corinthia Hotel! It’s a five floor wellness area, which offers everything from steamrooms, thermals pools and the best anti-aging facial of your life!

What inspires you?

My inspirations are endless, but my eternal icons are Audrey Hepburn, Veruschka von Lehndorff and my mother. I also want to travel to Japan next year for Sakura season and channel my inner Harajuku girl!

This season I’m loving:

This season I’m OBSESSED with shell necklaces, printed silk trousers and anything Gingham. Loving timeless classic pieces, I think you can never go wrong with the vibe of Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin of the 60’s Côre d’Azur, which is why I just ordered myself a Jane inspired basket that makes me look like I’m hunting for mushroom in the Bavarian Forest.

The new series of Made In Chelsea airs on Mondays at 9pm on E4.
