With over 15 years of experience in retail and working at some of the UK’s most loved brands, Georgia is now the Creative Brand, PR and Marketing Director for LabTech which owns landmark properties in London – including Camden Market, Hawley Wharf and the soon to open Buck Street Market (March 2020) – London’s first eco-market in the heart of Camden.
We caught up with Georgia for the latest in our ‘My London’ series.
I’m a Londoner born and bred, and have lived all over London. I think for me now, Notting Hill is really the place I love to live and hang out. It has a great vibe and really supports independent shops and businesses, the food scene is great too.
Favourite place for brunch:
Eggslut, Notting Hill – really great, simple and utterly delicious egg concept.
Best coffee in London:
Camden Coffee – specialist dark roasts from Darkwoods – is really very good.
Favourite gallery or museum:
Sir John Soane’s Museum – super quirky and is filled from top to bottom with ancient antiquities, it only allows 90 people in at a time, so get there early.

I get obsessed with certain food stuffs and will spend an unhealthy amount of time researching, exploring and tasting to find the best in London.

Selfridges – it has everything.

London, we are lucky to live is such an incredibly diverse and culturally rich city – you can discover something inspirational around every corner.
Best London destination for a date:
The London Shell Co in Paddington, if you don’t fall in love with the boat, the canal trip from Paddington to Camden, the food, the wine list, the service and hopefully your guest – there is no hope for you! Go in Spring – perfect weather for it and just oozes romance.
Favourite food market:
Camden Market and Borough – both have their unique attributes and history. Both you could totally get lost in for hours.
Your sanctuary in the city
Home – there is nothing better than coming home and shutting the door on a hectic day.
What inspires you:
Creative people, my team are very creative and it’s a joy to be around them.
This season I’m loving:
Being vegan, you are forced to become more creative and mindful when cooking with vegetables – I find cooking very relaxing. At Camden Market, we are also spoilt for choice as we have London’s biggest selection of vegan traders, so when I don’t cook, I will be trying out all the vegan offers, I can safely say the Young Vegans pie and mash is really outstanding. We’ve got a totally vegan artisan bakery and London’s first 100% vegan diner, and it’s great that we naturally have such a huge range available for visitors to choose from.
