Natasha Rufus Isaacs and Lavinia Brennan, founded Beulah London in 2010 born out of a desire to design and produce beautiful clothes that empower and inspire the women who wear them, whilst being committed to raising awareness of the plight of women trapped by human slavery. As a quintessentially British brand, Beulah London primarily designs effortlessly elegant occasion and day to evening wear for chic, cosmopolitan and spirited women. Fans include The Duchess of Cambridge, Jessica Alba, Cressida Bonas and Livia Firth amongst others.


Favourite neighbourhood:

Lavinia: Notting Hill

Natasha: Chiswick


Favourite place for brunch:

L: Pear Tree Café, Battersea Park. It is run by one of my best friends who is the most talented chef I know!

N: High Road House on Chiswick High St


Best coffee in London:

L: Tom Tom’s. It’s right next to our shop.

N: Almond milk cappuccino from Baker and Spice on Elizabeth St, next to our shop.


Favourite gallery or museum:

L: The V&A. I love their late-night exhibition openings.

N: Natural History Museum – my daughter loved it when I took her the other day.


Tell us a secret:

L: I like One Direction!

N: I sucked my thumb until 30 years old!


Favourite place to shop:

L: Baar and Bass, also run by one of my best friends. Maddie has a fantastic eye for beautiful and eclectic things. I’d love to buy everything in the shop!

N: Baar and Bass on the Kings Road is owned by one of my brothers’ great friends. She has a brilliant eye for beautiful clothes and interiors.


Favourite place to find inspiration:

L: Vintage shops

N: The V&A Museum


Best London destination for a date:

L: On a boat down the Thames – it’s where my husband took me on our first date!

N: 5 Hertford Street and dancing afterwards in Lulu’s.


Favourite park:

L: Hyde Park

N: Hyde Park


Favourite food market:

L: I love flower markets more than food markets – Covent Garden flower market is the best first thing in the morning.

N: Berwick Street Market


Your sanctuary in the city:

L: Fitzroy Lodge (Boxing club). It’s the best way to unwind after a hard day at work.

N: The roof top of the Berkeley Hotel – we went for our 1st wedding anniversary – it’s total bliss.


What inspires you?

L: My grandmother’s wardrobe! It is full of beautiful vintage Bruce Oldfield and Saint Laurent pieces.

N: For collections I’m inspired when traveling or reading books… or old vintage pieces which I will find in second hand shops or in my mothers’ attic!


This season I’m loving:

L: Feminine sleeves with a special detail like a ruffle or covered buttons.

N: Ruffles! I love Beulah’s new shirt dress with ruffle neck.
