Indola’s Global Ambassadors, Andy Smith and Chanel Nott, have a wealth of knowledge and experience under their belts.
As a cutting expert (Andy) and a colour queen (Chanel), bring the perfect balance of technical know-how and artistic inspiration to Indola. They bring a young and fresh style to the brand which is what Indola and its street style aesthetic is all about. With a background in session styling, Andy and Chanel deliver their imaginative and creative visions, technical expertise together with their salon experience on behalf of Indola to a global fanbase.
We caught up with them as part of our latest ‘My London’ series.
We love both Notting Hill and Greenwich. They’re both unique little parts of the city!
Favourite place for brunch
STK of course! Failing that, anywhere with a bottomless brunch gets our vote, particularly Roka, a Japanese restaurant in Canary Wharf.
Best coffee in London
Good Life in Chelsea. It’s not far from the salon so we’re always in there getting our morning fuel.
Favourite gallery or museum
If we’re looking for inspiration for our next photoshoot or hair show, then the V&A is great. There’s so much to look at and to take in, be it art, fashion or history. For a rainy Sunday afternoon, you can’t beat the National Science Museum.
Tell us a secret
We can’t – it’s a secret!
Favourite place to shop
For a real payday treat, Andy loves Gucci. We love Harrods because you have everything under one roof – you could spend an entire day in there!
Favourite place to find inspiration
On the streets. Street style is a huge part of our inspiration and it really embodies the feel of the work we do as Global Ambassadors for Indola. London is one of the best places for quirky street style – we’re constantly surrounded by it so the inspiration never falters.
Best London destination for a date
Zuma in Knightsbridge because it’s sophisticated but still has a relaxed vibe.
Either Hyde park or Greenwich park. We’re spoilt for choice in London!
Favourite food market
Borough market is fantastic of course but the Saturday market on Kings Road is also fantastic!
Your sanctuary in the city
The gym if we’re being sensible. If not, definitely anywhere that sells sushi and/or good cocktails!
What inspires you?
Everything! We try our best to find inspiration in all avenues of life and be switched on all times. We also love teaching the younger generation in the hairdressing industry. You can learn just as much from them as they do from you.
This season I’m loving…
Lived-in, undone effortless styling in terms of hair and fashion. Keep it relaxed and laid-back.
