At the heart of London’s fashionable Notting Hill district, and just around the corner from Portobello Road and market, Westbourne Grove is a popular area for shopping and socialising.

While Portobello Road is best known for antiques and vintage fashion, Westbourne Grove is a haven of designer boutiques and upmarket lifestyle and gift shops. It’s also home to some excellent coffee shops and cafes, perfect for a Sunday brunch or mid-shopping refreshment stop.


1. Heidi Klein

Step inside this whitewashed boutique and you’ll instantly be transported to a tropical beach holiday, even in the middle of winter. Heidi Klein specialises in swimwear and resortwear with the aim to provide everything you need to look gorgeous on holiday under one roof. There’s also a kids collection, a wide selection of accessories, and coconut-scented candles and beauty products to bring a little sunshine into even the gloomiest of London days.

Australian cafe Granger & Co is one of the most popular choices in the area and is consistently busy, so be prepared to wait for a table during peak times (they don’t take bookings). Most famous for their breakfasts and brunches (particularly the ricotta hotcakes), it’s also a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner in a bright and airy setting.

Luxury lifestyle brand WtR sells elegant womenswear and homeware from its flagship branch on Westbourne Grove.
