London is home to some of the best hair salons in the country, and even the world. But if you’re looking for a haircut or colour on a budget, it can be a little more challenging to find. It’s true that prices tend to increase the further you get to central London, but there are still some bargains to be found in the city. Check out our guide below to the best affordable hair salons in London.
1. Feel Hairdressers
What’s that you say? A hair salon in Soho that charges under £50 for a cut and blowdry with a senior stylist? No you’re not dreaming – Feel Hairdressers offer the winning combination of top-rated styling and service combined with a central location and great prices.
Feel has been in business since 2005 and has amassed a loyal following of clientele in that time thanks to its talented team and reasonable prices. The 13-strong team of stylists includes three “Wella Master Colour Experts”, and specialists in blondes, balayage, highlights, and other colouring techniques.
A ladies cut and blowdry starts from £46, a half head of highlights from £77, and a full head balayage colour from £140.

2. Muse of London
You’ll find Muse of London next to all the celebrity nail bars and luxury makeup brand stores of London’s West End, but you’ll know as soon as you step in that Muse is different. It’s not only friendly and non-intimidating, but also affordable – somewhat of a rarity in these parts.
The stylists as Muse can give you a great haircut, but they also specialise in colour. The salon’s most recent colour menu for SS19 is a menu of blondes inspired by biscuits. Whether you prefer light custard cream, or “bronde” Viennese Whirl, the team will help you to find the perfect shade of blonde for you.
A cut and blowdry starts from £51, half head of highlights or ombre/balayage starts from £104, and a full head bleach and tone starts at £114.

All appointments start with a consultation to be really clear on exactly what you want, and your haircut will never be rushed here – expect it to take an hour or more as Hiro takes his time and perfects every cut.
