Zara Phillips, granddaughter to HM the Queen, has landed a place on the eventing team for the London 2012 Olympics with her horse High Kingdom.
The 31-year-old Royal missed out in 2004 and 2008, when her previous horse Toytown was injured, but will now get the chance to emulate her mother Princess Anne’s success, who competed in the 1976 Montreal Games.
She claimed her spot on the team last weekend, making third place at the BranhamInternational horse trials, even missing the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee river pageant to make the cut. Good luck Zara! Britain will be backing you.
