Yves Saint Laurent is about to undergo its first name change in fifty years thanks to new creative director Hedi Slimane, who is changing it to Saint Laurent Paris.
The new name is said to be introduced within the next few months, in time for Slimane’s spring 2013 collection, however, the intertwining YSL logo will remain.
When Slimane joined the label earlier this year he assumed “total creative responsibility for the brand image and all its collections”, which also includes new store concepts, according to WWD.
What do you think of YSL’s name change?
