Yahoo! has strengthened its fashion presence by purchasing online shopping service Polyvore for $230 million, according to reports.
The style site allows people to curate outfits from a range of retailers in collage form, as well as acting as a gateway to buying items, with over 20 million unique users per month.
Speaking about the acquisition, cofounder and CEO of Polyvore Jess Lee said: “Our core mission of empowering people to feel good about their style will remain the same, but with Yahoo’s help we’ll be able to make Polyvore even bigger and better for our user community.”
The moves comes in the aftermath of the launch of digital magazine Yahoo! Style last November.
