High street womenswear brand Warehouse is set to open a flagship store on Oxford Street in the spring of 2014.
The store, which will be based in a former Monsoon space, is expected to become Warehouse’s biggest turnover shop and attract a lot of tourists.
Oasis and Warehouse chief executive Liz Evans said: “Our international growth for Warehouse is fantastic. But one of the challenges we’ve always had is that we’ve never had a flagship store in London to showcase our brand to international franchise partners.”
The store will have a luxury feel to it, with a loft-style design according to Warehouse brand director Paula Stewart. It will also hold host to a “lounge-style” fitting room, where bottled water will be available and iPads will allow customers to browse and buy items without queuing at a till.
Staff will wrap purchases while customers wait in the lounge area, setting the store apart from other high street competitors.
