London Victoria could be set to become London’s newest shopping destination, as the area gears up for a £4 billion investment over the next decade.
The Victoria Vibrancy Report 2014, published by the Victoria Business Improvement District (BID), revealed that developers are keen to take advantage of the residential space created, with big names such as Jimmy Choo and Giorgio Armani hoping to set up shop in the area.
BID chief executive Ruth Duston said there would be about 20 retail units available for luxury fashion brands across the developments, which will create three million sq. ft. of new office and retail space.
“The area is going through transformation. There’s been a huge migration of commercial tenancies and more headquarters from luxury fashion houses, and with them come their workforce.”
She added that she was keen to attract “the Bond Street kind of brands”.
