The V&A is hosting a David Bowie exhibition to showcase his contributions to the worlds of music, fashion, film and theatre.
Bowie is recognised as one of the most original and innovative performers of modern times, who influenced the style of a generation.
The V&A has been granted access to over 300 of Bowie’s personal items and the exhibition will feature handwritten lyrics, photographs and original costumes.
Bowie is famous for his androgynous appearance and experimental approach to make-up and costume. The exhibition will include his famous ‘Ziggy Stardust’ bodysuit (1972) and Union Jack coat, which he personally designed with Alexander McQueen.
The exhibition will take place between 23 March – 28 July 2013 and tickets are available now
