Topshop has announced the launch of a virtual reality water slide at its flagship Oxford Street store to mark the start of the Summer season.
Splash! will be displayed in the window of the Oxford Street store from 25 May – $ June, featuring a 360º Virtual Reality water slide that customers can experience by sitting on a giant inflatable at the entrance to the slide.
The slide takes customers on a computer-generated journey through the streets of London and will be shareable across social media in a dedicated Splash! at Topshop area within the store.
A Snapchat filter will also be available from 27 May that will place users in a Summer-themed underwater world.
Other summer-themed additions will include the scent of sun-cream being pumped throughout the store and several pop-ups including Milk Train soft serve ice cream. Several of Topshop’s concession brands will be running Summer workshops including Hershesons Summer hair tutorials, Hand and Lock swimwear customisation, and Cheeky salon nail art.
A number of special giveaways and treats will be offered in store throughout the summer period and customers are invited to book an appointment with the personal shopping team to prep their summer wardrobe for the latest styles and trends.
The Splash! experience is free for all visitors to the Oxford Street store.
