Medical experts have published a case in the Journal of Neurology, warning against the dangers of wearing skinny jeans.

According to reports, the journal outlines a case of a woman who was unable to move after wearing too-tight skinny jeans, leading her calves to swell up and having to cut the jeans off to remove them. Damage to her muscle and nerve fibres caused by the compression of her jeans meant she was only able to walk unaided after four days notes Doctor 4 U.

It is believed that her overly-tight skinnies had reduced the blood supply to her leg muscles, causing compartment syndrome, which the experts have used an example to raise awareness of the effects of tight clothing.
