Click and collect is something you might more readily associate with supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda, but it is soon to get a much more luxurious update in the form of Selfridges drive-thru service.
Simon Forster, multi-channel director at the department store, told the Evening Standard that they hope the service, which will take the form of a drive-thru lane at the back of the building, to be up and running by early next year. Customers will preorder their designer wares online and head to the store service to collect them.
Forster promises, “It will not just be the first drive-through service, it will be the best.”
