How do we define beauty? This is the meaty question that one-month events programme The Beauty Project.
Launching today, its hub is to be found at The Salon the lower ground floor of the London department store. Set up in collaboration with Dove, The Salon will play host to talks, debates and brand experiences with industry insiders.
Beauty journalist Sali Hughes leads the schedule with seven talks to host, including such topics as insider tips, peeking inside the makeup bags of Lauren Laverne and Sophie Ellis Bextor, growing old gracefully and the impact of beauty imagery. Brands making an appearance include Guerlain, Dermalogica, Illamasqua, Crème de la Mer and Sisley.
The focus throughout is interactivity – Selfridges has even partnered with The Future Laboratory to create a perfume profiling experience designed to create for visitors a fragrance perfectly suited to their personality and taste.
