Primark plan to open 300 more stores overseas

Value fashion giant Primark have announced that they may more than double the amount of their overseas stores as part of their European expansion. They currently have just 30 stores outside of the UK and Ireland, and bosses have reportedly told told analysts from Shore Capital that there could be as many as 300 more shop openings in continental Europe.

If the major expansion goes ahead Germany could see an addition of 150 stores, with the same amount being spread across Spain, Portugal, Holland and Belgium. At present Primark has 20 shops in Spain, two in the Netherlands, four in Portugal, three in Germany and one in Belgium.

Soon most of Europe will be able to experience the fun of low-price folded t-shirts and cut price designer style dresses that the UK already know and love…
