Today LDNfashion got a sneak preview of London’s latest fashion exhibition ‘Show for Shoes’ – a display of high fashion footwear put together in the name of art. The exhibition in association with Javari.co.uk allows the public to view divine couture shoes designed and admired for their beauty rather than their function, so as things were still being set up we snapped all the coveted pieces on display.
Our favourites were the cute mini Alexander McQueen armadillo heel, flown in from fresh the McQueen exhibition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood platforms for Medham Kirchoff, complete with silver pom poms, and the worlds highest pair of Louboutins – a pair of exquisite and delicate heeled ballet pumps covered in Swarovski crystals.
Shoes for Show opens on 4th November, running until the 8th from 11am-7pm each day, except Sunday when it closes at 5pm. It takes place on East London’s trendy Brick Lane, at the Loading Bay Gallery, E1 6QL. For more information go to: www.javari.co.uk/shoesforshow
