Pret-A-Manger have announced their second pop-up shop selling only vegetarian food, which is now open on Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch.

The launch of the second outlet comes with an additional 20 items to the menu including Vegan Mac & Greens, Cauli & Turmeric Super-Veg Salad, Sweet Potato Falafel & Beets Veggie Box, and Super Beans & Vegan Chocolate Brownie

Pret’s first vegetarian-only shop opened in Soho last year after an increased demand for more vegetarian and vegan menu options. It was originally intended to be only a temporary pop-up, but became permanent due to its popularity.

Pret-A-Manger has around 400 outlets worldwide and plans to expand on the vegetarian offerings by introducing a new veggie range to all the US shops at the end of April.

Dominika Piasecka from the Vegan Society said about the new shop: “We are very pleased that Pret are recognising the increasing demand for vegan food by opening a second Veggie Pret shop, this time permanently. As more customers learn about the ethical, environmental and health benefits of the vegan lifestyle, many businesses have been reacting positively by introducing vegan choices.”

The new store will be open at 57 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch, from 6.30am – 8.30pm Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 6.30pm Saturday, and 8am – 5.30pm Sunday.
