Hardcore female rapper Nicki Minaj, hailed as the Lady Gaga of rap, proved herself in the style stakes as she stepped out in London yesterday.
On her way to various radio appearances to promote her ‘Pink Friday’ album, she was pictured in head-to-toe pink in a patterned lycra track suit, barbie pink heels and a candy floss style wig.
The 26-year-old was later photographed leaving her Mayfair hotel on the way to two club appearances, the first at Oceana, Watford and the second at Runway, London. She changed from skin tight pink into a space inspired mini dress, complete with grey boots, chunky bling and a long blonde wig.
Her second appearance was later ditched as she tweeted to fans saying she could not enter Runway due to ‘security issues’. It was then revealed a fight at the club prevented it from taking place.
Nicki proved her popularity a few days ago when she landed Heathrow, only to be mobbed by her British fans. The UK love her and rightly so. She has revolutionised the face of female rap, from scary to sexy, with her outrageous outfits and super slick lyrics launching her from amateur to superstar.
We can feel the start of something phenomenal with this lady – little old Nicki is here to stay.
