New Look has announced plans to open standalone menswear stores in the UK, after seeing success from its men’s concept stores in select branches.
The new move will see five dedicated shops open by the end of the current financial year, while 25 of its men’s shop-in-shops will close as there is too little space to house the full range.
Speaking about the plans, New Look’s Chief Creative Officer Roger Wightman said: “Menswear is a key strategic priority for New Look, and the opening of menswear standalone stores represents a natural next step for us. We are very proud of the improvements made to our offer over the past two years – the opening of menswear standalone stores will allow us to more fully showcase the enhanced quality of our product ranges.”
“Our new Menswear Director, Christopher Englinde, joins us from H&M in September, and as a business we are very excited about the prospects of future growth.”
