British heritage label Mulberry has collaborated with iconic tableware brand Wedgwood to create bespoke London Fashion Week invitations, and the results are irresistible. The miniature ‘dolls house’ tea cup and saucer sets, sent to invitees in a chic grey Mulberry box, come in pink, Saxon-blue, pale-blue, black and light-taupe (key shades from the soon-to-be-unveiled SS14 collection) and were crafted at Wedgwood’s English factory in Barlaston, Staffordshire.
Founded in 1759, Wedgewood holds the Royal Warrant by Appointment for tableware and giftware to Her Majesty the Queen and is famed for its bone china to delightful prints. Inspired by traditional Wedgwood Jasperware (and of course our nation’s love of tea!), you can go behind the scenes to see the making of the cups and saucers here.
The collaboration doesn’t end there, however. Wedgwood is providing a pop-up tea service for Mulberry’s stores in Edinburgh and New Bond Street on Sunday 15 September, and again in the New Bond Street store later in the year.
The Mulberry show is on Sunday 15 September at 12pm. Watch the live stream of the show on Mulberry.com. Join the Mulberry and Wedgwood conversation with #MulberryTeacup.
