Montblanc is to launch a new fragrance this spring inspired by travel and exploration.
Montblanc EXPLORER is created by three top perfumers from the Givaudan perfume house: Jordi Fernandez, Antoine Maisondieu and Olivier Pescheux. The fragrance combines bergamot from Italy, Vetiver from Haiti, and Patchouli from Indonesia, creating a woody aromatic leather fragrance that takes wearers on a trip around the world.
The main ingredients are sourced from Givaudan’s Sourcing for Shared Value program, which supports local producers in sustainable development. The brand will also support educational initiatives including constructing libraries for school children on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The Givaudan Foundation and INTERPARFUMS currently provides 489 school children with 3,650 books.
The campaign for the new fragrance features Dutch model Rein Langeveld. Photographed by John Balsom, the campaign follows a travelling adventurer as he explores the landscapes and mountains of South Africa with a road map, an Aston Martin Db6, a leather jacket, and his Montblanc EXPLORER fragrance.
The bottle is designed to represent the earth’s two hemispheres, and the 30ml size is elongated to make it more convenient for travel. Bottles are protected with a leather-look sheath, which is printed with the Saffiano motif and Montblanc emblem.
Montblanc EXPLORER is to launch exclusively with The Perfume Shop on 27th March 2019, and nationwide from 29th April 2019. The recommended retail price will be £33 for 30ml, £53 for 60ml, and £70 for 100ml.
