She also revealed the brand’s plans for opening a store. “It’s something we’re getting ready for. We’re starting to explain what the brand is all about to the consumer and working with our stockists on building shopfits to show it off. To be able to then open our own flagship store would be amazing.”
MiH was launched in 2006 but has much longer history. Creative Director Chloé’s godfather originally founded the brand in 1969, and his jeans were worn by the likes of Jane Birkin and Marianne Faithfull. The familial connection to denim doesn’t stop there either – her father Tony was known as the ‘Blue Jean King’ in the ‘70s and is acknowledge as one of the first people to import American denim to sell in the UK.
