Meghan Markle chose to wear a local brand – Hiut Denim, to a public appearance at Cardiff Castle with her fiancé’, Prince Harry, last week.
Markle was photographed on a tour of the grounds around Cardiff Castle wearing a black turtleneck, black Stella McCartney coat and Dina skinny fit high waist jeans by Hiut Denim Co.
The jeans are cut to order in a workshop in Cardigan, West Wales and will be available to order in sizes 6 – 14 from March, priced at £175.
Hiut Denim Co. recommends limiting the number of times jeans are washed for environmental reasons and to preserve the fabric. They state on their website: “We believe, the longer you can go without washing them, the more beautiful your pair of jeans will become.”
This visit was particularly significant to the couple as Harry’s official title is His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales.
Markle’s future sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, is also known to use public appearances to support local designers.
