British designer Matthew Williamson has joined forces with Dulux’s Let’s Colour project to renovate a community centre in South East London.
The Ravensbourne Community Centre has been covered in Williamson’s rainbow print, which featured heavily in his 2005 collection. The print will now go worldwide, being used in over 200 Dulux community projects in the likes of Paris, Rio De Janeiro, and India.
Speaking about his design, Williamson said: “I’m continually inspired by nature and the rainbow is one of nature’s greatest optical phenomenons. The sighting of a rainbow never fails to bring a smile to people’s faces. They signify optimism and positivity: with them comes the sunshine after the rain.”
Dulux’s Let’s Colour initiative donates vibrantly coloured paint to regeneration projects throughout the world.
