Margherita Missoni sells personal wardrobe for charity

Margherita Missoni, Granddaughter of founders Ottavio and Rosita Missoni is having a wardrobe clear out for charity. Selling 70 pieces from her personal collection on fashion website  Yoox.com for the OrphanAid Africa charity, of which she is the president.

Amongst her personal collection are  vintage Missoni pieces, a patchwork dress once worn by Kate Moss, iconic knitwear pieces and elegant gowns. Margherita said: “I’ve been working with OrphanAid Africa for almost 10 years, and I am constantly looking for new ways to raise funds to support this wonderful organization (sic). So when these two ideas came together in my little head, I could not help but wonder why I hadn’t thought of this before! Well, better late than never!”
