Manolo Blahnik launches capsule collection with Farfetch

Manolo Blahnik, has launched a new capsule collection that is available exclusively from online retailer, Farfetch.

The collection, named SCIPIOS, includes a heel design inspired by abstract artist Mark Rothko, famous for his “Colour Field” style of painting. The shoe has a sculpted heel and cut-out detailing and will be available in five patent colours, each given its own ‘personality’ name: The Wild One (orange), The Modernist One (white), The Mysterious One (black), The Playful One (nude), and The Romantic One (pink).

The SCIPIOS shoe was launched to mark the official brand partnership between Manolo Blahnik and Farfetch. CEO of Manolo Blahnik said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Farfetch from spring ‘17. The exclusive SCIPIOS style, which launches the relationship perfectly, embodies the essence of a simple yet perfectly formed Manolo Blahnik and I am pleased it marks our arrival on the dynamic and contemporary site.”

Stephanie Horton, chief marketing officer at Farfetch, added: “We are honoured to be part of the creation of this bespoke style and excited to bring this one-of-a-kind Manolo Blahnik design to our global customers exclusively on Farfetch.com.”

Farfetch has also managed the Manolo Blahnik ecommerce site since its launch a year ago.
