Premium French fashion brand Maje is set to open a new flagship store on Regent Street next spring.

The new store will occupy the 2,938 sq ft space that formerly housed L’Occitane, at 149-151 Regent Street.

Judith Milgrom, founder and creative director of the brand, said: “We feel that London’s iconic Regent Street is the perfect fit for the UK flagship Maje store. We are excited to be bringing our Parisian style to London on a larger scale in London’s most popular retail and leisure destination.”

Maje’s sister brand, Sandro, is also planning to open a flagship on Regent Street, with a 1,956 sq ft store opening later this year.

The company was founded in 1998 by Milgrom while her sister, Evelyne Chétrite founded Sandro together with her husband in 1994. Both brands are part of the SMCP group

Maje already has nine stores in the UK and has demonstrated strong growth in the past few years, with sales growing 33% in 2015.
