House of Holland’s autumn/winter 2012 was an explosion of dogtooth, with the pattern dominating everything from the invitation to the accessories.
Chums Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Nick Grimshaw sat on the front row as designer Henry sent his sixties inspired collection down the runway, which had all the colour and attitude of the era. However, it posed as a grown-up version of the youth-centric time, with on-the-knee skirts replacing the mini and smart blouses taking over from crop tops. But practicality didn’t equal boredom, as bold colour and print made up for what it lacked in controversy.
