This September, the London College of Fashion’s Fashion Space Gallery will play host to 5 portraits of Coco Chanel, painted by the Californian artist Marion Pike.
Opening on 4th September and running until 16th November, the exhibition will also include haute couture pieces worn by Pike and her daughter Jeffie.
Coco Chanel first sat for Marion in 1967, by which time she was already 84 years old and had made her indelible mark on the world of fashion. This is the first time that all five portraits will be exhibited in one place, and has been a great opportunity for curators Amy de la Haye and Judith Clark to explore their friendship. You can find the Fashion Space Gallery at London College of Fashion, 20 John Princes Street, W1G 0BJ. Opening Hours: Monday–Friday: 10am–6pm, Saturday: 10am–4pm, Sunday & Public Holidays: Closed – Admission: Free.
